I’m beta testing Measure Map, a web application that helps people get to know their blogs. It collects and analyzes blog-specific traffic statistics and present them in an intuitive interface beautified by Flash and AJAX. It’s really cool.
When I looked at my blog statistics this morning, I was surprised to see negative visitors and links. Not nice. I immediately e-mailed the team of Adaptive Path to tell them about my problem so they can look at it as soon as possible. However, it seems that I won’t get any feedback soon. It’s weekend after all…
It’s sad to get this bug but I feel fortunate that I’m not the only one seeing negative statistics in my blog. Some users have reported this bug in Measure Map forum too. I’m not sure if this is related to the recent database migration that happened last wednesday. I just hope that this problem will be fixed soon.
UPDATE: (1/23/2005 3:55 PM) I think that the bug had been fixed. My blog stats is back to normal.

I didn’t know Gmail’s delete button is one of the most coveted missing feature. It made headlines when Gmail added it live and featured in “What’s New” section of Gmail. Many users rejoiced now that they can immediately delete an email right from the inbox in just one click, reducing two clicks away from the dropdown listbox and move to trash option.
I really don’t use delete or move to trash feature of Gmail that much. I rarely find reason to delete e-mails in Gmail because of its big storage. Somehow many people still don’t welcome trash or nonsensical e-mails inside their archive so they continuously delete e-mails every now and then. It really depends on how you manage your stuffs. To some people, the lack of “delete” button in Gmail right from the start is a puzzle.
I find it really amusing that even this little feature makes news… and now I’m blogging about it. LOL.

The first mission to Pluto has launched successfully on January 19, 2006. The Atlas V 551 rocket carries the New Horizons spacecraft on its one-way mission to the outer edge of the solar system. Unlike some missions that return to the Earth, New Horizons will be a one-way journey to the Kuiper Belt and beyond, conducting flyby studies of Pluto and its moon Charon in 2015. It is scheduled to meet Kuiper Belt objects around 2016 to 2020.
Back in August 2005, I registered for a web certificate on New Horizons mission so that my name will be included in a compact disc bearing all the participants. Apparently, the space craft won’t come back to Earth so the compact disc will never be seen on Earth again unless retrieved hundred years after, if it is still in one piece. At least I have my name enlisted on that disc. LOL.

Steganos LockNote will change the way you work with confidential notes. Application and document in one: the mechanism to encrypt and decrypt a note is part of it. Secure, simple, independent. No installation required.
This is a very simple program and yet very useful. Sometimes I have to keep special notes that I don’t want anyone to read. Perhaps this is the easiest way to store and retrieve them without worries. You can store some text in LockNote. When you’re done just close it and you will be prompted to save any changes you have made. You can change your password anytime and your secured notes are portable. You may put it in a flash disk and open it in any PC. You can also create self-opening text documents by draging the *.txt file in LockNote. Alas, your text file is already password-protected with strong AES 256bit encryption!

That’s true… and you might be killing yourself slowly if you don’t take extra precaution.
Perhaps I’m not the best person to give advice on how to make your life healthier but I do take care of myself nowadays. I am a self-confessed workaholic. I feel really guilty when my goal is not achieved in a day’s work. However I don’t want to make my life more miserable because of computers so I try to organize my schedule to avoid additional stress. As Lifehacker.com puts it, “Don’t live to geek; geek to live”.
If you read this article from informationweek.com you better start believing that computer can hurt not only your body and mind but also your environment in general. Fortunately there are ways to minimize the damages.
Now, it even makes me wonder why I like computers. Computer is evil.
